3) Think about visitors, which keywords they may search in google and other search engine. Apply, SEO to your site headlines and other headlines.
4) Comments on other popular sites or blogs giving your site address as your signature.
5) Get backlinks as much as you can.
6) Use Feedburner. It is useful to get visitors again. Once, visitors are subscribed. They will be mailed, if you update your sites. It is proven.
7) Update your sites regularly. Most search engines like updates.
8) Go to Google webmaster tools. Make a Sitemap and submit it to Google,Bing and Yahoo Search Engine. If you use blogger or wordpress, your site will be submitted automatically.
